Facial paralysis can occur for various reasons. The most common facial paralysis we see is Bell's Palsy, popularly known as "demon stroke". Paralysis may be partial or involving the entire face.

The approach here is planned as follows. In order to control nerve damage before it progresses, corticotherapy should be started for 10 days with a well-adjusted dose. EMG monitoring should be recorded after 1 week. If there is no sign of electrical revival during 1 month with EMG follow-ups, the nerve canal should be widened and the perineurium overlying it should be opened by microsurgical method by entering behind the ear. In this way, a decrease in edema and an increase in the possibility of reversal are achieved.

In cases of permanent facial paralysis, we plan techniques such as nerve repair and replacement, methods such as creating symmetry using Botox-Fillers for those who have no hope, and surgical face hanging.
